Wow! It has been a busy couple of weeks with all of the Grease rehearsals and sports day practise. We have also been thinking about out make £5 grow stalls and hope that we can see as many of you there as possible at the Federation Picnic on the 15th July.
It was great to see so much support for our wheels evening, I'm glad all the children enjoyed themselves.
Last week we had a professional theatre company come in to school to perform The Railway Children. The children really enjoyed it and learnt a few acting tips.
As well as that we had a fantastic time on Friday building dens for den day. The competition was fierce and all of the children worked excellently as a team. Thank you to all of the fathers and grandfathers that came in to show their support. Take a look at some of the fantastic dens the children got to build.
Then after all the excitement of Friday morning, we had a visit from year 10 students from Stalham High School. Their GCSE music students came in to teach KS2 how to be better performers. They were joined by their teacher Mr Hall. The children became a human drum kit and then performed a new song with a live band. Everyone did really well.

Mr Men books
Congratulations to year 6 for all their hard work and effort for the SATS. You did a great job. This week we have been designing and making our own Mr Men books inspired by the originals.
The children planned out their stories and have written the text. Next week they will be creating their books.
When we have finished them we will put some pictures of their wonderful creations.

Spansih
It has been a pleasure having the Year 5s join us in the Cheetahs class
on Thursdays & Fridays the last fortnight! They've worked really hard
on their English booklets doing research on lots of topics to complete their
tasks- hopefully they've all enjoyed learning so many new facts! They've
also done a fantastic job of joining in with our Maths lessons for a nice
refresher on the topics of Time & Angles as well as having great fun
playing Around the World with us (a fun-competitive way of showing off our
times table skills!). Excellent teamwork and setting a great example Year
5s!
Congratulations to our Times Tables, Around the World Winners:
1s & 9s: Luke and Harley
2s & 8s: Connor and William
3s & 7s: Rachel and Koley
4s & 6s: Harley x2!
In Spanish, our work on direcciones (directions) is coming to an end. I think you'll be impressed to see what the children have learned to read and translate, summed up in our final activity in the photo below. Well done to Megan & Keira, whom solved the task the fastest as well as the other pairs that arrived at the same location, and even those that made it to the correct calle (street) in the end!
¡Sobresaliente Todos! (Outstanding Everyone!)

Spanish
We are really building up our vocabulary in
Spanish these days as we investigate how to ask for, give, and receive
directions! All very helpful skills to have when we are visiting a
Spanish-speaking country! I'm extremely impressed with how well everyone
is presenting their work in their books! These will be great tools for
them to use for future reference! Keep up the great work!
¡Hasta luego por ahora! (Goodbye for now!)
